Today I have a Chautauqua Dance Audition. I have three different leotards. Which one should I wear? A Black Camisole, A navy blue halter, or a bright red halter? I have black hair.
Have you ever auditioned to Chautauqua??? Does a 13yearold girl with good turnout, flexibility, and high arches get in??? Is it a hard audition class? Do you put on your pointe shoes????? I'm so nervous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Calm down, not to worry. I went to Chautauqua twice. Once when I was 11 and the second time I got into the Festival program at the age of 13. If I were you, I would wear the leotard that you think looks the best on your body! The bright red one would be nice, because you would stand out....just my suggestion.
Act confident and stand in the front row as often as possible. If you have the technique and the passion to show for it, they won't be able to turn you down. Seriously, thats how I did every audition I ever did and I was very successful. And SMILE, it really is a performance.
